LJ Or sir PUMP CUT -OF] ME= • The Model 406 Pump Cut -Off is a solid state two-part modular system that was specifically designed for use in containment pans/ sumps for dispensers and turbines. The system functions as a passive device for monitoring an accumulation of fuel spills and/or filter leaks. When this accumulation reaches a user specified level, the dispenser or turbine is shut down until the sensor is reset. The intrinsically safe sensing probe actuates whenever the level of the accumulating liquid reaches a factory preset level of approximately 3 / 8" water column. The controller, which also provides an intrinsically safe barrier, is connected to the dis- penser or turbine junction box and operates on either 120 or 240 volts. The controller is fully encapsulated and is approved for use in Class 1, Group D environments. The unit is capable of handling up to 20 amps of electrical load. • The system is easily installed and is connected to existing wiring at the dispenser or tur- bine location, eliminating the need of pulling new wires or breaking concrete. • Additional sensing probes may be ordered for use in multiple compartment containment pans. These probes are available as a Model 406A kit and come complete with a cable splitter. • BEI's impact sensor is also compatible with the Model 406. The impact sensor kit is a Model 408A and also comes with a cable splitter. • The Model 406 and accessories are third party tested and approved by ETL. The Model 406 system is patent pending.
