Grant Line Rd., Tracy, CA 95377 <br /> The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has completed the review of the <br /> application for a permit to cut concrete next to all eleven UDCs, remove and replace all piping <br /> penetration fittings in the UDCs, replace a damaged section of 89 piping, remove and replace piping <br /> penetration fittings in all four STP sumps on the underground storage tank (UST) system at the above <br /> noted address. The permit has been approved with the following conditions: <br /> 1. Contact the local fire department and the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District for <br /> any applicable permits and requirements. <br /> 2. Any changes in information and scope of work must be submitted to EHD for approval prior to <br /> commencing work. All new addenda supersede the previous ones. <br /> 3. Contact Stacy Rivera at (209) 468-3440 to arrange the following inspection appointments (a <br /> 48-hour notice is required for inspection appointments). Please be aware that inspections for <br /> emergency work must be scheduled within five days of permit approval. <br /> a. Primary piping soap test: One hour pneumatic pressure test at 110% of operating pressure, <br /> or 40 psi, whichever is greater. <br /> b. Secondary piping soap test: One hour pressure test per manufacturer's guidelines. If there <br /> are no manufacturer's guidelines, test shall be performed using an applicable method <br /> specified in an industry code or engineering standard. <br /> c. 24-hour hydrostatic test (or equivalent) on all eleven UDC sumps and all four STP sumps <br /> (87, 89, 91, diesel). <br /> d. Secondary containment testing on all four product pipes (87, 89, 91, diesel) after backfill. <br /> e. If concrete will be broken over the tanks, a secondary containment test must be performed <br /> on the affected tank(s) once concrete is poured in accordance with the manufacturer's <br /> guidelines. <br /> f. If 89 primary piping is replaced, soil sampling under the replaced piping must be witnessed <br /> by EHD. A signed Authorization to Release form will be required. <br /> Please be aware that the facility cannot operate the UST system prior to the EHD <br /> inspection and approval. <br /> 4. Secondary containment testing for the UDCs, STP sumps, and piping is required six months <br /> after installation.
