Interstitial Sensors for Steel Tanks The Interstitial Sensor for steel tanks detects the presence of liquid between the double walls of the tank. Sensor Detection Capabilities - Alarm Conditions • The presence of any liquid at a nominal height of 1 inch in the tank's interstitial space triggers a Fuel Alarm. • An open sensor triggers a Sensor Out alarm.
