Please note that the scope of work does not plan to perform a "cold start" of the
monitoring system. The permit has been approved with the following conditions:
1. Contact the local fire department and the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District for
any applicable permits and requirements.
2. Any changes in information and scope of work must be submitted to EHD for approval prior to
commencing work. All new addenda supersede the previous ones.
3. Contact Elianna Florido at (209) 468-0343 to arrange the following appointments (a 48-hour
notice is required for inspection appointments). Please be aware that inspection for emergency
work must be scheduled within five days of permit approval.
a. Sensor functionality: Functionality of the monitoring system must be verified to ensure
that monitoring has been restored to meet the requirements of Title 23 California Code
of Regulation and the Health & Safety Code. If a "cold start" will be performed, a copy of
the alarm history shall be printed prior to performing a "cold start" of the monitoring
system and made available at the time of EHD inspection. Verify that all Veeder Root
sensor wire splicing is contained inside respective junction boxes.
b. Secondary piping test for all product piping located where the excavation took place:
One hour pressure test for all piping, per manufacturer's guidelines. If there are no
manufacture's guidelines, the test shall be performed using an applicable method
specified in an industry code or engineering standard.
c. 24-hour hydrostatic test (or equivalent) on under dispenser containment (UDC) 19 and
any other UDCS located where the excavation took place.
Please be aware that the facility cannot operate UST system prior to the EHD inspection
and approval.
4. Since concrete will be broken near the 87-octane, 91-octane, auto diesel, and three diesel
tanks, a secondary containment test must be performed on the 87-octane, 91-octane, auto
diesel, three diesel tanks, and any other tanks located where the excavation took place once
concrete is poured in accordance with the manufacturer's guidelines.
1868 E.
