Chapter 1 : Introduction <br /> Overview <br /> This chapter explains the following features of the Red Jacket CPT Controller: <br /> ♦ Constant Pressure Output <br /> ♦ Line-Leak Detection <br /> ♦ Stand-alone Pump Operation <br /> ♦ Tandem Pump Operation <br /> Features of the Red Jacket CPT Controller <br /> This section describes pertinent features of the Red Jacket CPT Controller. The CPT <br /> Controller has been approved by Underwriters Laboratories to carry the UL Listing Mark. <br /> It is manufactured in a facility that has attained IS09001 certification. <br /> Flash Memory and The CPT Controller has"flash memory,"which allows updating the <br /> Downloading software remotely by modem or PC. It does not require removing <br /> Capability an EPROM chip at the site to change future upgrades of software. <br /> Alarms and The CPT Controller has yellow and red LEDs to indicate warnings <br /> Warnings as well as an audible alarm, or piezo. <br /> Surge MOV surge protection is on both the input and output of the <br /> Suppression controller. <br /> Power The CPT minimizes power usage during no-flow or low-flow <br /> Conservation conditions at the pump. <br /> Brownout The CPT Controller has enough energy to maintain performance for <br /> Protection 40 milliseconds (msec). Most brownouts have gaps in power of <br /> about 10 msec in duration. <br /> Constant Pressure Output <br /> The Red Jacket CPT (Constant Pressure Turbine) uses Controlled <br /> Pressure Technology. This technology measures the pressure <br /> downline from the pump with a pressure transducer.
