BOUT THIS MANUAL <br /> This preface explains how the manual is organized and describes what symbols or <br /> typographical conventions are used. It also defines special terms. This manual is for use <br /> in U.S. locations only; metric conversions are not included. <br /> Organization <br /> The CPT Controller Manual is organized into five chapters. <br /> "Chapter 1: Introduction" gives a brief description of each of the major features of the <br /> product. <br /> "Chapter 2: Red Jacket CPT Controller" describes the basic components. <br /> "Chapter 3: Installation" gives step-by-step instructions for installing and wiring the <br /> controller. <br /> "Chapter 4: Startup, Calibration, and Operation" describes the features used in day-to- <br /> day operations. <br /> "Chapter 5: Service and Repair" describes the warnings and faults, and gives <br /> troubleshooting tips. <br /> The CPT Controller Manual also contains a table of figures; a list of abbreviations; <br /> appendixes containing the Red Jacket limited warranty and wiring diagrams; and an index. <br /> Typographical Conventions <br /> The various symbols and typographical conventions used are described here. <br /> Indicates a tip or reminder <br /> Terminology <br /> The following defined terms are used throughout this manual to bring attention to the <br /> presence of hazards of various risk levels, or to important information concerning use of <br /> the product. <br /> • - Indicates the presence of a hazard that will cause severe personal <br /> injury, death, or substantial property damage if ignored. <br /> E= Indicates the presence of a hazard that can cause severe personal <br /> injury, death, or substantial property damage if ignored. <br /> w <br /> ±Cautiiori Indicates the presence of a hazard that will or can cause minor <br /> personal injury or property damage if ignored. <br /> Not! / Indicates special instructions on installation, operation, or maintenance <br /> that are important but not related to personal injury hazards. <br /> ARE260-240 Rev.A ♦ 6/97 v Contents, Figures,About This Manual... <br />
