Yet, in the fiffl size site plans and scope of work it states that miscellaneous piping will be removed. Please
clarify how will existing piping that is no longer used be managed. Whether removed or abandoned in place, there is a
specific procedure that must be followed. Provide clarification/details on the method used.
Provide information and cut sheets for third party certification and that Ameron LCX piping is compatible with the
product to be conveyed in the UST tank/piping system.
For the VMI or red jacket line leak detectors specify which line leak detector will be installed on which tank.
Why are some of the turbines going to be abandoned in place. Why not remove them?
Why is the new oil water separator to be installed have an outlet to the storm drain system? Only rain should go down
the storm drain. A potential for liquid other than rain water not trapped by the oil water separator may reach the
storm drain system if the oil water separator is tied into the storm drain system.
Please specify which brand of penetration boot will be installed at which sump(s).
For the Ripon Pilot Facility, why is an additional oil water separator being installed when one already exists.
Responses from Core States Group:
Some piping will be removed some will be abandoned in place. It is the Fueling Contractor's responsibility to ensure
compliance with all regulations that apply to piping being installed, removed or abandoned in place.
See attached for UL listing third party approval.
VMI goes on the three diesel tanks and the red jacket goes on the new 2hp STP in the converted UST.
The owner requires the S17s to be left in place.
Storm drain is preferred. We can move to Sanitary if required..
New LCX piping will use Blue Line boots and new flexible piping will be OPW.
On Ripon the existing grades did not allow gravity flow from the new tank location to the existing OWS location. The
owner does not want a lift station.
Sincerely,
Cheree Naes
Project Coordinator
V""Ov ' core-eng.corr
430 north vineyard avenue . suite 335. ontado. ca 91764. v: 909.467,8907. f: 909.467.8917
georgia . virginio . new jersey , massachusetts . new brunswick. conada . missouri . florida , north carolina . arkansas . colifomia . pennsylvanic
