The emergency shut-off valve or
"impact valve" is_ installed on the fuel line directly under the dispenser. It is intended to shut off
the flow of product in the event of impact and/or fire involving the dispenser. In normal
operation, the valve is left open, held in position by a fusible link. A shear section is located in
the upper half of the valve and should be installed level with the base of the dispenser. In an
emergency, the handle releases and the spring-loaded poppet assembly will swing shut.
Unibody construction. UL listed.
Double Tapped Bushings—FIG 184 Series
Used in pipe and tank fitting to reduce or adapt to a connection. Cast iron with
NPT threads. The duplex bushing is used to connect 2" pipe to dual 1/2" or 3/8"
lines.
Extractor—FIG 560 Series sm
Installed on the vent line of an underground storage tank. Extractor allows vent lines to be
manifolded and also allows removal of float vent valve (Fig. 317) for repair or replacement.
Various sizes available. CARB approved.
Float Vent Valve—FIG 317 Series
A main component of the Extractor/Float Vent Valve overfill prevention system. (Fig
560/317). Installed on a UST vent line. When filling a tank, the ball floats on the liquid and
rises to the seat area on the pipe nipple. The level of the seat is set at the high level limit of
the tank. Once seated, air flow becomes restricted which abruptly reduces the filling rate
and warns the operator to stop filling the tank.
Extractor Pipe Cap—FIG 578 Series
Used as a cover for the Extractor/Float Vent Valve overfill system. Installed on the riser
pipe at grade level normally inside a manhole.
Ball Valve (full port)—FIG 691
Full port ball valve used for liquid handling with manual open -close in quick quarter -turn
handle operation. Threaded (NPT) connections. Valve can be operated in partial open
position. Lockable with padlock.
httn //unw rnnrhrnc rnm/CPrvir.P Ctatinn htm 4/14/1011
