AMERICAN
ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT CORP.
The Horner Ezy-Chek Tank Testing System monitors both change
in temperature and change in liquid level.
1) Monitoring Temperature of the Product - The temperature
probe is designed to monitor the entire volume of the tank
and to show any change of product temperature to .001 degree
Fahrenheit on a digital readout. The tank probe is an
averaging probe 24 feet long, incased in a nylon tubing
formed in a coil spring design, with more coils in the center
of the product and less at the top and bottom to conform to
the configuration of the tank. The temperature probe is
inserted in the product with a weight attached to the bottom
which automatically adjusts to any diameter tank from 24" to
20 ' .
The digital readout is powered by a 12 volt powerpack. The
readout is capable of monitoring one or two tanks
simultaneously with a selector switch to read each individual
tank temperature change. Full scale of the readout is zero
to 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
2) Liquid Level Monitoring - The Ezy-Chek System uses a chart
recorder which is actually a pressure recorder capable of
detecting a change in liquid level of .005 inches and
generates a permanent record of the test. An air supply tank
is also used with the chart recorder.
The air supply tank forces a small movement of air into the
top 1/2" of liquid (just enough to cause a bubbling action)
through a 1/4" tube clamped to the fillpipe or standpipe.
The chart recorder measures the pressure it takes to cause
the bubbling action. Liquid level bubbling systems have been
used in the petroleum industry as tank gauges for years.
Using a special bellows Ezy-Chek has made the chart recorder
very sensitive.
The Ezy-Chek Tank Testing System compares change in
temperature to change in liquid level to determine gain or
loss of product.
11855 White back Road Rancho Cordova,California 95670/(916)985.6666
