Violation 406: Response states that Ramos Environmental picked up Seven 55 gallon drums. I do not see any
invoices/disposal receipt for the removal of empty 55 gallon drums. Response does no account for Three
empty 55 gallon drums and Three empty 15 gallon drums. How were these drums managed and can you
provide an invoice/disposal receipt for empty drums?
Violation 601 : This will remain open until all items on this violation are removed from site. Response states that
Stericycle Environmental will pick-up all waste by 1/10/2019. Be sure to send a copy of disposal receipt once
waste is hauled off site.
Violation 605: Please provide a photo or statement on what was filled out for the following items:
-One 5 gallon bucket with used oil and metal parts observed with no hazardous waste label.
-Two 5 gallon buckets with oily water observed with no hazardous waste labels.
-One 15 gallon drum with oily water observed with no hazardous waste label.
Violation 608: Keep in mind this violation was reopened in the amended inspection report. I sent the following
email back on 12/2/2019.
"After reviewing my photos I realized that one of the label states In order to meet the exemption the
label should say "drained used oil filters." Please correct this label as soon as possible."
All that is needed to correct this violation, is for someone to write word "oil" next to the word "used". Please
correct this and send me a photo. Attached reference photo to this email.
Please note: Bill of ladings provided from Ramos Environmental, are not legible, please be sure to include a
clear copy that shows all information on the form. (sometimes scanning will yield poor quality, you can try
taking a photo with your phone and sending me a copy via email as an alternative option).
I hope this email helps with returning to compliance.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
Hope to hear from you soon,
Jason Gaitan
EHS
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
1868 E. I am taking a few more smaller buckets to
disposal site at Stericycle Environmental in Stockton and Ramos will be here Monday for the balance of the empties. I
thank you for your help and patience as we work on correcting the violations.
2
