Box 6012 305 North EI Dorado Street, Suite 200 <br /> San Ramon, CA 94583-0904 Stockton, CA 95202. <br /> WORK PLAN REVIEW, SOUTH SHORE PARCEL 2A,666 WEST WEBER AVENUE, <br /> STOCKTON, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> Staff of the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board(Central Valley Water Board) <br /> reviewed the 24 January 2006 Additional Soil Vapor Sampling Work Plan Delta View Apartments (Work <br /> Plan) submitted by EarthTech on behalf of the L&M Operable Unit, 666 West Weber Avenue, Stockton <br /> (site).. The site is a portion of Area 2A belonging to the City of Stockton Redevelopment Agency (RDA) <br /> as identified within the City's 13 September 2000 Environmental Master Plan. Chevron Environmental <br /> Management Company (Chevron) is conducting cleanup at the site on behalf of itself and any and all the <br /> other responsible parties. The scope of work contained in the Work Plan states: <br /> • "Install a soil gas probe (SV-26) in the vicinity of former soil gas location SV-25 to a depth of five <br /> feet below ground surface (bgs); <br /> • Install 3 additional soil gas probes (SV-27, SV-28, SV-29) approximately 10 feet out radially in a <br /> triangular pattern from SV-25 to a depth of five feet bgs; <br /> • Collect and analyze soil vapor samples for H2S [hydrogen sulfide] by ASTM Method D-5504, and <br /> for methane by ASTM Method D-1946, and provide QA/QC data to verify the quality of the data; <br /> and <br /> • Summarize the results in a letter report submitted to RWQCB." <br /> Central Valley Water Board staff concur with the elements of the Work Plan and Chevron should <br /> proceed with its implementation.
