The August 8, 2005 submittal was
requested in the RWQCB's July 11, 2005 letter entitled Review of Reports, South Shore Parcel 2A, 666
Weber Avenue, Stockton, San Joaquin County, addressed to Mr. Thomas Bauhs of the Chevron
Environmental Management Company and Ms. Kitty Walker of the Stockton Department of Housing &
Redevelopment (the "Letter"). The comprehensive schedule requested in the Letter will provide an
updated schedule to implement future site activities, and will supersede earlier deadlines imposed by Ms.
Devra Lewis in a April 6, 2005 letter to Mr.Thomas Bauhs and Ms. Kitty Walker'.
Due to a requested delay for the upcoming site activities by the City of Stockton Department of Housing &
Redevelopment Agency (RDA), a comprehensive schedule cannot be provided by August 8, 2005 as
requested in the Letter. This requested delay has also resulted in a revised anticipated start date for
excavation activities at the Unocal Operable Unit(OU)to August 29, 2005.
Also discussed in the Letter, RWQCB staff requests that monthly technical meetings be held for the site.
The L&M OU appreciates the RWQCBs willingness to participate in monthly technical meetings regarding
the site, and respectfully requests that the L&M OU be allowed to discuss the scheduled remedial
activities as well as a comprehensive schedule for site activities at the Parcel 2A site during the next
scheduled technical meeting. To allow for the RDA's request for a delay to upcoming site activities, the
L&M OU also requests that the technical meeting be moved one week, to be held on August 25, 2005. As
such, SECOR, on behalf of the L&M Operable Unit Group, hereby requests that the deadline for
submission of the comprehensive schedule be extended to August 25, 2005.
I The April 6, 2005 letter requested an investigation report for work to be performed at the Waterfront Towers by
August 19,2005 and an investigative report for excavation activities at the Unocal OU by September 23,2005.Both
deadlines are not obtainable as field work at either location will not have been completed.
