All of the HCI-preserved bottles for this sample
contained heatlspace bubbles. This can happen with alkaline samples.because the Bicarbonate reacts with HCI to fond Carton Dioxide.
'=Hydrocarbons reported as TPH as Diesel do not exhibit a typical Diesel chromatographic pattem. These hydrocarbons are higher boiling Nan typical diesel fuel,and/or have discrete
peaks which may or may not be petroleum related.
°=Surogate recoveryor Method 8015 was above the wnlml limit(s). Since there were no Diesel or Motor-0l range hydrocarbons detected in the sample,no data areflagged.
=Samples were analyzed by EPA Method 82608 using a bottle that contained a heatlspace bubble greater than 1/4inch in diameter.
p1=Sample was re-analyzed to confirm the presence of compounds that were detected in the first analysis.
=The Method Blank associated with sample MW-18 contained 81 ugl TPH as Motor Oil.
z'=Samples collected by Wallace Kuhl for Unocal:UnoolnM'eber.
r°=Hydrocarbons reported as TPH as motor oil do not exhibit a typical motor oil chromatographic pattem.
'=The Method Blank associated with samples MW-39 contained 88 uglL TPH as Motor Oil.
a'=Matrix SpikelMatiix Spike Duplicate Results for the analyte Toluene were affected by the analyte concentration already present in the un-spiked sample.
=Hydrocarbons reported as TPH as Diesel do not exhibit a typical Diesel chromatographic pattem. There are discrete peaks which may or may not W petroleum related.
°5=Hydrocamons reported as TPH as Motor Ol do not exhibit a typical Motor Oil chromatographic pattem. These hydrocarbons are lower boiling than typical motor all.
3°=Hydrocarbons reloaded as TPH as Gasoline do not exhibit a typical Gasoline chromatographic pattem. These spikes are most likely due to he presence of le"hydrafumn in the sample.
=Results reported for P.M-Xylene that are below the method repotting limit should be considered estimates. The method detection limit for Mis compound is 0.37 ug/L.
m=Hydrocarbons reported as TPH motor oil do not exhibit a typical Motor Oil chromatographic pattem. There are discrete Peaks which may or may not be petroleum related.
=Hydrocarbons reported as TPH as Motor Oil do not exhibit a typical Motor Oil chromatographic pattem. These hydrocarbons are lower boiling than typical motor oil.
"=TPHo resulls may b,bias*/-47.0 ug/L
cx=Results reported for P,M-Xylene that are below the method reporting limit should be Considered estimates. The method detection limit for this compound is 0.09 uq L.
05=Hydrocarbons reported as TPH Desel do not exhibit a typical diesel chromatographic pattem. These hydrocarbons are lower boiling Nan typical diesel fuel.
=Discrete peaks present, atypical for motor oil.
37=Hydrocarbons are lower boiling than typical motor all.
05=Analysis by Modified Method EPA W15 yielded inconsistent results. The concermfions appear to vary between the bottles. The highest valid reruns are reported.
w=Surrogate Recovery for test memod Mod.EPA 8015 was outside of control limits. This may indicate a bias in the analysis due to the samples matrix or an interference from compounds
present in the sample.
b=Gasoline hydrocarbons appeared to be present in much higher concentrations when measured via EPA Method 8015 as compared to EPA 82608. If there is undfincived product
present in the bottle it will likely be included in the W15 value but not the 6260B value. It is probable that the sample contains undissolved product.
41=Discrete peaks in Diesel range, atypical far Diesel fuel.
=Discrete peaks, lower boiling hydrocarbons present, atypical for motor oil.
"=Lower boiling hydrocartlons present, atypical for diesel fuel.
=Matrix Spike/MaMx Spike Duplicate results were outside of control limits. This may indicate a bias for the sample that was spiked. Since the LCS recoveries were within control limits,
no data are flagged.
w5=City of Stockton well;well not sampled this quarter.
=Primarily compounds not found In typical gasoline.
=Discrete peaks, higher boiling hydrocarbons present, atypical for diesel fuel.
Method reporting limn increased due o interference from gasoline-range hydrocarbons.
=Hydrocarbons reponed as TPH as Diesel do not exhibit a typical Diesel chromatographic Pattern. These hydrocarbons are higher boiling than typical diesel fuel.
n=Hydrocarbons repprted as TPH Gasoline do not exhibit a typical Gasoline chromatographic pattem. The TPH Gasoline values are attributed to the presence of 2ethyi-1-Hexanol
which Kin Analytical does not consider to be a typical gasoline constituent. .
5'=Wells destroyed in November 2008 as pad of the Unocal excavation activities by Treadwell and Rollo.
51=Repeat analysis by Modred EPA Method 8015 yielded inconsistent results. The concentrations appear to vary between the battles.
Two of the three battles were similar to each other so results fmm one of those two similar bottles are repoded.
=Dlscrom peaks, lower boiling hydrocarbons present, atypical for Dlesel Fuel.
Starnec
20120924-ParcecA(Tables 4.5.6.7)Hlstodcat GW Tables 3012-CL.xhx Pape 7 of
