All samples will be submitted to the California certified laboratories (by <br /> Severn Trent Laboratories, Inc. and North Coast Laboratories, LTD.) employing quality control <br /> procedures specified in SW-846. The laboratory data will include infonnation regarding the detection <br /> limits, quality control sample results (such as matrix spikes and surrogate recoveries), and a narrative <br /> stating whether the quality control procedures were met and listing any discrepancies. The data will be <br /> qualified in accordance with the National Functional Guidelines (EPA-540R-94-012 and -013). Copies <br /> of the laboratories' quality control documents are included in Appendix E. A copy of blank sample <br /> container labels and a blank chain-of-custody form are included in Appendix F. <br /> 4. REPORTING <br /> A, Preliminary Endangerment .Assessment Report (PEAR) will be prepared for submittal to the DTSC <br /> describing the results of the investigation. The laboratory analytical data will be compared to residential <br /> soil preliminary rerned.iation goals for the appropriate analytes. The Preliminary Endangerment <br /> Assessment Guidance .Manual will be used for evaluation of the site. At a minimum the report will <br /> include: (1) an executive summary, (2) introduction, (3) site description, (4)background information, (5) <br /> apparent problem statement, (6) environmental setting, (7) sampling activities and results, (8) human <br /> health screening evaluations including risk calculations, (9) conclusions and recommendations. The <br /> human health screening evaluation will include risk calculations using equations indicated in the <br /> ,Preliminary,Endangerment Assessment Guidance Manual. <br /> S. SCHEDULE <br /> Fieldwork can be initiated within approximately one week after approval of this Work Plan by the DTSC <br /> and upon notification from the Manteca Unified School District indicating access to the site has been <br /> secured. The fieldactivities outlined above can be completed in one week. Laboratory analyses <br /> typically require three weeks to complete. Condor will provide a draft report approximately two to three <br /> weeks following receipt of the laboratory analytical results.
