If toluene is not detected in any of the two
wells for two consecutive monitoring events, the analyte may be removed from the schedule for that well.
6 Detection limits for bromomethane and dichlorodifluoromethane are 1 µg/1,and for methylene chloride is 5 µg/1.
REMEDIATION PILOT STUDY MONITORING ;
The remediation pilot study monitoring program includes monitoring wells MW-2, MW-4, MW-5, and
MW-6. The remediation pilot study monitoring program for the four monitoring wells shall follow the
schedule below. Some of the analyses for the remediation pilot study monitoring program are
duplicative of those required for the groundwater monitoring program and are repeated only for clarity.
Two separate analyses are not required. Remediation pilot study monitoring may be discontinued when
Board staff concurs that the pilot study is concluded.
REMEDIATION PILOT STUDY MONITORING PROGRAM
MethodAL
Detection MW-4, MW-2,
Constituents Method(s) Limits MW-5 MW-6
Depth to Groundwater --- 0.01 ft Quarterly Quarterly
Dissolved gases(methane,carbon dioxide) ASTM D1945,RSK 175M 0.02 mg/1 Annually,'' Quarterly
General Minerals(nitrate plus nitrite,ammonium, EPA 350,353.2, 376.2, 0.1 mg/l4 Annually2'3 Quarterly
alkalinity,chloride, sulfide,sulfate) 415,9056, 9060,
SM 4500,2320, 5310
Dissolved Metals(arsenic,chromium, copper,iron, EPA 200.7, 601013,7060A, 0.01 mg/l5 Annually2'3 Quarterly
manganese, mercury,nickel,zinc) 7470A
Total Metals(iron,manganese) EPA 200.7 0.03 mg/1 Annually2'3 Quarterly
Metabolic Acids(acetic,butyric,lactic,propionic) HPLC/UV 10 mg/1 Annually2'3 Quarterly
Volatile Organic Compounds(including 1,2-DCP and EPA 8260B 1 µg/1 Annually2'3 Quarterly
1,2,3-trichloropropane)
Footnotes are on following page
