90C0030All CON-19
Soil samples will be collected from four locations in the southern por-
tion of the site. Exact locations will be determined by the presence of
representative surficial soil discoloration. Samples will be collected from
depths of 1 foot and 6 feet at each location. Samples collected from 1
foot at two locations will be composited into a single sample (Location S2)
and samples collected from 1 foot at the other two locations will be com-
posited into a single sample (Location S3) . The samples collected from 6
feet will be composited in a similar manner. The samples will be analyzed
for fertilizer, pesticide, and waste oil constituents.
Discrete soil samples will be collected at depths of 1 foot and 6 feet
from the discolored area in the vicinity of the Volck Supreme Oil tank
(Location S4) . The samples will be analyzed for pesticides and waste oils.
Soil samples will be collected from four locations within the former
location of the stormwater collection pond. Because the pond excavation
was backfilled to a depth of at least 5 feet, samples will be collected
from depths of 1 foot, 6 feet, and 10 feet at each location. Samples
collected from 1 foot at two locations will be composited into a single
sample (Location S5) and samples collected from 1 foot at the other two
locations will be composited into a single sample (Location S6) . The
sample sets collected from 6 feet will be composited in a similar manner,
and the sample sets collected from 10 feet will also be composited in a
similar manner. The samples will be analyzed for fertilizer and pesticide
constituents.
Soil samples will be collected from two locations near the former
location of the 365,000-gallon fertilizer tank. At each location, samples
will be collected at depths of 1 foot and 6 feet. Each set of samples
collected at 1 foot will be composited into a single sample (Location S7)
and each set of samples collected at 6 feet will be composited into a
single sample (Location S7) . The samples will be analyzed for fertilizer
constituents.
3-5
