900003OAll CON-21
S13) . The samples will be analyzed for fertilizer and pesticide
constituents.
Two locations will be sampled in the area used to aerate the soils
excavated as part of the underground storage tank removal . At eacr
location, samples will be collected at depths of 1 foot and 6 feet. Each
set of samples collected at 1 foot will be composited into a single sample
(Location S14) and each set of samples collected at 6 feet will be
composited into a single sample (Location S14) . The samples will be
analyzed for waste oil , fertilizer and pesticide constituents.
Two locations will be sampled in the area beyond the southern fence
line. The samples will be collected from areas with algal growth. At each
location, samples will be collected at depths of 1 foot and 6 feet. Each
set of samples collected at 1 foot will be composited into a single sample
(Location S15) and each set of samples collected at 6 feet will be com-
posited into a single sample (Location S15) . The samples will be analyzed
for fertilizer constituents.
Soil samples will be collected from the immediate vicinity of the for-
mer location of the two dry wells. The locations (S16 and S17) indicated
on Figure 2 are approximate and may be adjusted after the exact location of
the dry wells is determined. Because the dry wells are thought to have
been less than 20 feet deep, discrete soil samples from each location will
be collected at depths of 1, 6, 10, and 20 feet. The samples will be
analyzed for fertilizer, pesticide, and waste oil constituents.
Soil samples will be collected from one location (S18) believed to be
unaffected by facility operations. This location is not indicated on
Figure 2 and will be selected in the field based on visual inspection and
interviews with facility personnel . Chemical analysis of this sample will
provide data for estimating natural or background constituent concentra-
tions in soils at the site.
