Our review of the <br /> Work Plan was conducted by DTSC's Geological Support Unit (GSU), in conjunction <br /> with consultation by DTSC's Human and Ecological Risk Division (HERD), and <br /> specifically addressed the depth and scope of the proposed soil sampling investigation. <br /> The intent of this letter is to provide notification of DTSC's approval of the Work Plan for <br /> the Cabral — McAdams Property (Site). Located in the city of Stockton at 4204 through <br /> 4208 North Sutter Street, the 12.81 acre former orchard property Site is comprised of <br /> two contiguous parcels identified by the San Joaquin County Tax Assessors' office as <br /> assessor parcels numbers (APNs) 115-230-06 and 115-230-07. DTSC understands <br /> that Kimball Hill Homes is contemplating purchase of the Site property for future <br /> residential development. <br /> The Work Plan, submitted to DTSC on August 10, 2006, was prepared by Raney <br /> Geotechnical Inc., in accordance with the Voluntary Cleanup Agreement. The Work <br /> Plan documents the preliminary characterization of the Site based upon the findings <br /> contained in the Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (Phase I ESA), dated <br /> October 5, 2005, and the subsequent Soil Sampling and Laboratory Analysis report <br /> dated, April 28, 2006. The Work Plan also provides a sampling strategy for further <br /> characterization of the Site which was reportedly utilized for agricultural purposes for <br /> approximately one hundred years.
