Operator placed rings around <br />securing them. Corrected on site. <br />-One 55 gallon drum with used oil observed with no lid for bunghole. <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE: A container holding hazardous waste shall always be closed during transfer and <br />storage, except when it is necessary to add or remove waste. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed <br />when not adding or removing waste. Provide a corrective action statement and supporting documentation to the <br />San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department within 30 days. <br />This is a minor violation. <br />605 <br />CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste. <br />OBSERVATION: Hazardous waste containers were observed on-site with incomplete labeling. The containers <br />were: <br />-Two 55 gallon drums with used paper oil filters observed with no hazardous waste labels. Inspector provided <br />operator with hazardous waste labels, he filled them out and placed them on drums. Used last invoice to make an <br />accumulation start date determination. Corrected on site. <br />-Two 55 gallon drums with used oil observed with no physical state, hazardous properties, or accumulation start <br />date. <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE: All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: the <br />words "Hazardous Waste", name and address of generator, hazardous properties, physical state, composition <br />(contents), accumulation start date <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately label the containers as required for hazardous waste.
