6.0 Impact Considerations Version :27.10.4
. Identify potential environmental effects on fish and wildlife, wetlands, and other
sensitive environments resulting from removal actions or countermeasures.
Lakes and Streams
A release from the facility would immediately impact San Joaquin River. There are several
tributaries southeast and southwest of Facility that drain into San Joaquin River, e.g., Old
River, Middle River, White Slough, Toulumne River; however, impact would be minimal due
to directions of flow.
Endangered Flora and Fauna
The endangered flora and fauna that may be potentially impacted by a discharge originating
at the Facility are detailed in Figure 6.1 and Figure 6.2. USFWS and applicable state
agencies will be contacted for information regarding endangered species.
Recreational Areas
The following recreational areas may be impacted due to a release that impacts San Joaquin
River.
Name Address ESM ID#
Weber Point Events Center 221 N Center St, Stockton, CA 95202 10
Van Buskirk Community Center 734 Houston Ave, Stockton, CA 95206 12
Eagal Lakes Resort 12 W Lorenzen Rd, Tracy, CA 95304 36
Stockton Ballpark 404 W Fremont St, Stockton, CA 95203 08
Stockton Rod & Gun Club Inc 3120 Monte Diablo Ave, Stockton, CA 95203 57
Stockton Downtown Marina 445 W Weber Ave ste 128-b, Stoc 53
5 Star Marina 1 345 N Yosemite St# B, Stockton, CA 95203 54
Stockton Sailing Club 4980 Buckley Cove Way, Stockton, CA 78
95219
RiverPoint Landing Marina-Resort 4950 Buckley Cove Way, Stockton, CA 79
95219
South Spud Island Recreation Area 11666 W Spud Is, Stockton, CA 95219 80
Transportation Routes (air, land, and water)
The San Joaquin River supports commercial and recreational vessel traffic which could
potentially be effected. Rail transport in the area of the Facility could also potentially be
impacted. The local emergency assistance agencies (police department, fire department,
etc.) and the USCG (as applicable) would be contacted for traffic control in the area of the
discharge.
Shell Supply and Distribution 6-11 Stockton Terminal FRP
©2019 Witt O' Brien's Revision Date: October, 2019
