Penetration into marshy areas,woody cover, riprap, and <br /> animal and invertebrate burrows in levees, islands and uplands. Emergent and marsh vegetation cleaning issues. <br /> HAZARDS and RESTRICTIONS: <br /> Aerial traffic beware of high wires. Regarding boat handling, beware of shallows, snags and mud bars. Anchor one boom end near downstream riprap bank. Anchor upstream boom <br /> end upriver(SJR) near docks, leaving a trailing boom length to maintain seal during tidal vacillations. Skim <br /> riprap closure if spill is in river. Back with sorbent. Wind wash can be a problem here. Site extends from mouth <br /> on Stockton Deep Water Channel (at G 41 opposite Burns Cutoff river mouth), about 3 miles up river to 1-5 overpass. <br /> LAND ACCESS: PAVED LEVEE ROADS <br /> WATER LOGISTICS: Shallow and shallower, snags <br /> Limitations:depth,obstruction <br /> Launching, Loading, Docking Boat launch,fuel, and other marina facilities are available at Stockton Port and other marinas <br /> and Services Available: up and down channel. <br /> FACILITIES,STAGING AREAS,POSSIBLE FIELD POSTS AND EQUIPMENT AVAILABLE: <br /> Northwest levee road is a ready deployment site with good access. South levee area may work well too after gaining <br /> cooperation of homeowners. Otherwise transport material by skiff.
