M A T E, R l A I S A F E T Y D A T A S H E D T <br /> E300-BKII 03/18/2002 Page: 3 <br /> SECTION VI REACTIVITY DATA <br /> STABILITY: Stable. <br /> HAZARDOUS POLYMERIZATION: Will. not occur. <br /> CONDITIONS TO .VOID: Extremely high temperatures, poor ventilation and <br /> excessive aging. <br /> INCOMPATIBILITY (MATERIALS TO AVOID) : Avoid contact with strong oxidizing <br /> agents. <br /> HAZARDOUS DECOMPOSITION OR BY PRODUCTS: Thermal decomposition may produce <br /> carbon dioxide and/or carbon monoxide. <br /> SECTION VII SPILL AND LEAK PROCEDURES <br /> STEPS TO BE TAKEN IN CASE MATERIAL IS RELEASED OR SPILLED: Follow <br /> instructions in Sections IV, V, VI, VII and VIII to prevent health hazards. <br /> Eliminate all sources of ignition. Sweep up and prevent dust cloud from <br /> forming. Prevent from spreading to ground water. Use non-sparking shovels <br /> to scoop up. Place material in recovery container for disposal. <br /> WASTE DISPOSAL METHOD: Powder may be classified as a non-hazardous <br /> material . However, material should first be tested in accordance with EPA <br /> for STLC and TTLC requirements. Dispose of in accordance with local, state <br /> and federal regulations. <br /> SECTION VIII SAFE HANDLING AND USE INFORMATION <br /> RESPIRATORY PROTECTION: If TLV of the product or any component is exceeded, <br /> a NIOSH approved dust respirator is advised in absence of environmental <br /> control. OSHA Regulations also permit other NIOSH dust respirators under <br /> specified conditions. (See your Safety Equipment Supplier) Engineering or <br /> administrative controls should be implemented to reduce exposure. <br /> VENTILATION: Provide sufficient "UL" approved mechanical (General and/or <br /> Local exhaust) ventilation to control dust. <br /> PROTECTIVE GLOVES: Gloves are recommended to prevent exposure to powder. <br /> EYE PROTECTION: See your supervisor for proper eye protection. <br /> OTHER PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: Prevent repeated or prolonged skin contact, <br /> wear impervious clothing and work shoes. <br /> HYGIENIC PRACTICES: Remove and wash soiled clothing before reuse.
