Mr. Scott Hilyard - 3 - 27 July 2007
how CA ARNG would select soil samples for analysis in borings that do not encounter
suspected contamination.
4. Page 9, Section 6.6: The last sentence in this section is unclear and appears to refer to
sampling methods that are not discussed. Revise this sentence to identify which
sampling methods will be used if the HydroPunch technique is unsuccessful.
5. Page 9, Section 6.7: This section states that "a trip blank, temperature blank, and
equipment blank may also be added to the list of QA/QC samples submitted for analysis;
if applicable during the field investigation." Please explain why these samples would not
be applicable or revise the Work Plan to state these samples will be collected.
If you have any questions, please contact me at (916) 464-4733
(m pierce(aD-waterboards.ca.coy).
C/
Marcus L. Pierce, C.Hg.
Engineering Geologist
cc:
Ms. Margaret Lagorio, San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department, Stockton
Ms. Devra Lewis, California Army National Guard
Mr. Vern Elarth, URS, Sacramento
