4.0 SITE SAFETY PROCEDURES
A designated Site safety officer will be appointed for the investigation. The officer will be
responsible for the adherence to Versar's Site health and safety plan (included as Appendix A)
and will be present during all of the drilling and sampling operations. Site personnel will wear
gloves when handling the drill cuttings and samples. In addition, the drill cuttings and samples
will be monitored with an analytical field instrument. If the Site safety officer determines that
harmful levels of organic vapors are present, personal safety equipment will be re-evaluated.
The Site health and safety plan will be present on Site during all investigation activities, and
daily "tail -gate" safety meetings will be held. The Site health and safety plan contains additional
details concerning Site safety concerns and procedures.
11
3027-03/104700.4766.230/JUL23' 03
