Jim Pinto added the accumulations start date, 11/19/19, at the time of <br /> inspection.Jim stated the facility's hazardous waste was last picked up for disposal on 11/19/2019 and that was <br /> the date that should have been written on the label by the hazardous waste hauler, World Oil. However, according <br /> to the facility's hazardous waste manifests,the most recent hazardous waste pick up for the disposal of waste <br /> flammable solids was on 11/15/2019. <br /> 7.A black 55-gallon steel drum of hazardous waste bondo dust/debris, located in the Paint Shop,was missing the <br /> accumulation start date(IMG 9745-7, 9751). Jim Pinto added the accumulations start date, 11/19/19, at the time <br /> of inspection. Jim stated the facility's hazardous waste was last picked up for disposal on 11/19/2019 and that was <br /> the date that should have been written on the label by the hazardous waste hauler, World Oil. However, according <br /> to the facility's hazardous waste manifests,the most recent hazardous waste pick up for the disposal of waste <br /> bondo dust/debris was on 11/15/2019. <br /> 8.A black 55-gallon steel drum, located just outside of the Body Shop,was labeled as hazardous waste bondo <br /> dust/debris and waste absorbents with accumulations start date 11/15/19, but stored two used metal oil filters and <br /> one used paper filter(IMG 9765-7).The hazardous waste label on the drum storing the filters was inaccurately <br /> marked with "Contents, Composition: Bondo Dust/Debris." <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following accurate <br /> information: the words"Hazardous Waste", name and address of generator, hazardous properties, physical state, <br /> composition (contents), and accumulation start date or"Empty Daily" if emptied daily. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately label the containers accurately as required for hazardous waste. Provide a <br /> corrective action statement and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br /> Department(EHD)within 30 days.Also provide a statement explaining how the facility plans to manage the Shop <br /> Vac vacuum containing the hazardous waste bondo dust once it has been emptied. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class ll. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> NOTES: <br /> -The inspection report was amended by removing violation 608 and adding violations 102, 113, and 601. <br /> -At the time of inspection, a hazardous waste drum observed just outside of the Body Shop was storing used <br /> metal oil filters and a used paper filter(IMG 9765-7). Hazardous waste manifests documenting the disposal of <br /> used metal oil filters and used paper filters by Certified Collision Center were not found at the time of inspection. <br /> According to Jim Pinto, Head Painter, the facility takes its used metal oil filters across the street to Morgan <br /> Automotive Repair. Submit a statement and supporting documentation to the EHD explaining how Certified <br /> Collision Center manages and disposes of its used metal oil filters and paper filters, and include Morgan <br /> Automotive Repair's disposal records for Certified Collision Center's used metal oil filters and paper filters. <br /> An inspection checklist was provided to the facility operator on the day of inspection.
