Even higher concentrations of MTBE and TPH-g have
been detected in the water samples from MW 11 and MW12 that were installed on the northeast
corner of your property as part of the investigation to define the extent of the contaminant plume
emanating from the site at 3032 Waterloo Road, Stockton.
Minimal soil contamination has been found on your property. Please have your consultant
characterize and evaluate the site data and provide conclusions as to whether the source of the
groundwater contamination on your property is from the unauthorized release of petroleum from
the underground storage tanks formerly operated at your site or is from the unauthorized
release of petroleum from the underground storage tanks operated at 3032 Waterloo Road,
Stockton, that has migrated to your property. If additional data is needed to make a conclusion,
then a work plan to obtain that data should be submitted to the EHD by December 15, 2008.
The groundwater contamination evidenced on your property must be defined vertically and
laterally. Once the source of the groundwater contamination is determined, the responsible
party will be directed to define the extent of the groundwater contamination laterally and
vertically.
In addition, reports of work conducted at contaminated UST sites are due for submittal within 60
days following completion of the work. Please ensure reports for this site are uploaded to
Geotracker, the State Water Resources Control Board internet data base, within this time frame.
