r
27 October 2006
AGE-NC Project No 04-1168
32 ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
TPH-g was detected in ground water samples collected from wells MW-1 through MW-3 at
concentrations of 1,000 micrograms per liter(gg/l), 900 µg/l and 900 pg/1,respectively(Figure 4)
The BTEX compounds toluene, ethyl-benzene and xylenes were detected In ground water samples
Toluene was detected in wells MW-I through MW-3 at maximum concentration of 5 3 gg/l(MW-1)
Ethyl-benzene was detected in well MW-I at a concentration of 2 1 µg/I Xylenes were detected in
wells MW-1 and MW-2 at a maximum concentration of4 2 pg/1(MW-1) Benzene was not detected
1 The fuel additive MTBE was detected in all ground water samples at concentrations between
830 µg/1 (MW-3) and 870 pg/I (MW-1), in addition, 1,2-DCA was detected in two ground water
samples(MW-I and MW-3)at a concentrations of 5 8 pg/I and 5 9 gg/l,respectively 1,2-DCA was
not reported in the sample collected from well MW-2 A Map of MTBE concentrations is presented
as Figure 5
' No other constituents of concern were detected at or above laboratory detection limits in the ground
water samples analyzed The analytical results of the ground water samples collected on 04
November 2005 are summarized on Table 3 The laboratory report (CTEL Project No CT214-
0511043), QA/QC report, and chain-of-custody form are included in Appendix C The Laboratory
' report in electronic data file (EDF) format was uploaded to the State Water Board's Geotracker
database and confirmation sheets are included as Appendix D
' 4.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
' Based on the data collected from the site, AGE concludes
• At the time of the November 2005 quarterly monitoring event, the ground water flow was
' Inferred to be southwest under an average hydraulic gradient of approximately 0 014 ft/ft
• Analytical results of ground water samples MW-1 through MW-3 collected on 04 November
' 2005 reported TPH-g and toluene in all samples at maximum concentration of 1,000µg/1 and
5 3 µg11, respectively In addition, ethylbenzene was reported in one sample (MW-1) at a
concentration of 2 1 gg/l Total xylenes were reported in two samples (MW-I and MW-2)
at a maximum concentration of 4 2 pg/1
• The fuel additive MTBE was detected in all ground water samples at concentrations between
900 gg/1(MW-2 and MW-3) and 1,000 gg/1 (MW-1), in addition, 1,2-DCA was detected in
two ground water samples (MW-1 and MW-3) at a concentrations of 5 8 µg/1 and 5 9 pg/l,
respectively During the previous quarter monitoring event, 1,2-DCA was only reported In
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
