Fill
Site Investigation and No Further Action Request Repo
ji,g} R$L Diesel Services, Project#051111
Sine 054
Soil analytical results were compared with San rancisco Regional Water Quality
Control Board's Environmental Screening Levels(ESL ) for deep soils (>3 m) in an exterior
{ commercial setting. The ESLs are concentrations of hazardous chemicals that the SFBRWQCB
considers to be concentration thresholds for risks to human health.
F'F'
The laboratory reported all soil samples results were below laboratory's minimum
detection limits (MDL).
3.2.2 Groundwater Sampling and Analysis
Following termination of the soil boring, one groundwater sample was collected using a
Ft disposable bailer. The groundwater was placed in clean laboratory supplied glass sample
containers, sealed, packaged in an iced cooler, and transported with chain-of-custody
documentation to Sparger for analysis of TPH-D and T H-G by EPA Method 8015M and for
volatile organic compounds, including BTEX and PCE, by EPA Method 8260B.
The laboratory reported that the groundwater sample results were below the laboratory's
detection limits for all analytes except for PCE at a concentration of 4.1 micrograms per liter
(ug/1). This concentration is below the California Primay Maximum Contaminant Level (PMCL)
of 5.0 ug/l.
Soil and groundwater analytical results are presented on Figures 4 and 5, respectively,
and summarized in Tables 1 and 2. The laboratory analytical reports are included in Appendix
C.
3.3 Waste Management
r
4
Soil cuttings were placed on plastic sheeting, covered, and stored on-Site until the soil is
profiled for disposal. A sample of the drill cuttings was analyzed for TPH-D by EPA Method
F-' 8015M, BTEX by EPA Method 8260B, and total lead by EPA Method 60108.
Equipment rinseate water was placed in DOT-a proved 55-gallon drums and labeled
accordingly. As with the drill cuttings, the drums were properly labeled and stored on-site
pending laboratory analyses and selection of an appropriate disposition.
F
C.
A
I
