SAN J O A Q U I N Environmental Health Department <br /> C' J *\1 T Y <br /> Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report <br /> Facility Name: <br /> [Facility Address: Date: <br /> J.G.'s Automotive 0 N GRANT ST, STOCKTON July 19, 2019 <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> (CLASS I,CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> Item# Remarks <br /> 403 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous <br /> waste. <br /> OBSERVATIONS: One white 55 gallon poly drum containing approximately 35 gallons of used oil did not have a top <br /> that closed the container securely. <br /> REGULATION:All hazardous waste containers shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing waste. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately close these container and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed <br /> when not adding or removing waste. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 601 CCR 66262.34(d)Stared hazardous waste onsite greater than 180 days. <br /> OBSERVATIONS: One white 55 gallon poly drum containing approximately 35 gallons of used oil did not have an <br /> accumulation start date. <br /> REGULATION: Facilities who generate less than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month and do not exceed 6000 kg <br /> of waste stored on site at any time may store waste on site up to 180 days. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Since it cannot be determined how long the hazardous waste has been on site, immediately <br /> contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest. Submit a copy of the manifest to <br /> the EHD within 30 days. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> An inspection checklist was provided to the facility operator on the day of inspection. The EHD has written the <br /> complete report which replaces the initial checklist. Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance <br /> Certification form to the EHD with a statement documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken <br /> for each violation, and any supporting paperwork, within 30 days of receiving the complete inspection report. <br /> NOTES: <br /> The following items were corrected on site during the inspection: <br /> Item 1: No modified contingency plan and no emergency coordinator. <br /> OBSERVATIONS: The facility did not have a modified contingency plan or an emergency coordinator.
