Facilities who generate less than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month and do <br />not exceed 6000 kg of waste stored on site at any time may store waste on site up to 180 days. Immediately <br />contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest and submit a copy of the <br />manifest to the EHD. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br />Overall Inspection Comments: <br />Notes: <br />One black steel 55 gallon drum of bondo/sanding waste, one 55 gallon black steel drum of used oil, one black 55 <br />gallon steel drum of used antifreeze and one blue 55 gallon drum of used antifreeze were observed in the body <br />shop without accumulation start dates. One 55 gallon black steel drum of waste paint solvent and one 55 gallon blue <br />drum of waste waterbase paint were observed in the paint shop and one 55 gallon black steel drum of used paint <br />filters were observed in the paint shop trailer without accumulation start dates. did not have an initial start date <br />marked. The initial date of waste accumulation shall be clearly marked and visible for inspection on each container <br />used for satellite accumulation of hazardous waste. The initial accumulation start date was determined to be the <br />date the waste was last picked up for the waste paints and paint filters, which was on 5/2/19. The last pick up date <br />for used antifreeze and used oil was over 180 days and it cannot be determined how long these waste have been <br />stored on site, immediately mark this container with today's date and contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to <br />dispose of this waste under manifest within 180 days. Labeling violations were corrected on site. <br />Waste streams observed: sanding/bondo waste, antifreeze, used motor oil, waste paint, waterborne paint waste, <br />soiled rags. <br />Rags are laundered by Aramark. <br />Inspector provided: flyer for free CUPA classes, return to compliance certification. <br />Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br />documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br />paperwork, by August 22, 2019. <br />Starting September 1, 2018, all in -office CERS help will be provided at EHD hourly rate ($152).
