Mr . Muniappa Naidu
Page 4
Analytical Results
The only analyte detected in the soil samples from the deeper borings was lead , at naturally-
occurring background levels . TPHg and VOCs were not detected . The soil sample from the
shallow boring contained a background concentration of lead and miniscule concentrations of
TPHg (0 . 30 ppm) , xylenes (0 . 013 ppm) and p-isopropyltoluene (0 . 033 ppm) . No analytes
were detected in the groundwater samples .
Table 1 summarizes soil sample results and Table 2 summarizes groundwater samples results .
The laboratory report is included at Attachment C .
Conclusions
Groundwater is not impacted and soil contains only de -niinhnus levels of certain hydrocarbon
compounds . This follow-up sampling event confirms our previous conclusion that there had
not been a significant fuel leak from the former UST .
Recommendation
No further investigation is necessary and we recommend that San Joaquin County EHD
consider the UST to have been properly closed .
If you have any questions or comments please contact Ground Zero at your convenience .
Respectfully ,
Ground Zero Analysis , Inc . cp1iAlof
Zlt4 Fnlo
o c
GREGORY R
Gregory P .
