12 MONKEYS TATTOOS - TATTOO SET-UP PROCEDURE <br /> • Make sure hands are clean before starting set-up <br /> 1. Make stencil &with it still intact, place next to work area. <br /> 2.Arrange benches,chairs,armrests& mayo tray if necessary. <br /> 3.Turn on lights& power unit. <br /> 4. Place machines next to work area. <br /> 5. Place bottles next to work area. <br /> 6. Wet work surface area with liquid. <br /> 7.Touching only the ends, lay out cellophane over work area to create clean field. (Hang edges touched <br /> by hands over the sides of table/mayo tray.) <br /> 8. Using same technique, lay cellophane over power unit,and necessary benches,armrests, bottles etc. <br /> 9. Put on one glove. <br /> 10. Using ungloved hand,open drawer, pull out dental bib with gloved hand. Place on top of cellophane <br /> on work area. <br /> 11. Proceed to open drawers with ungloved hand and pull out items with gloved hands and place on <br /> clean surface or dental bib(Ink caps, razor,clip cord sleeve, machine bag,wash cup, needle packs,tube <br /> packs, pre-ripped paper towels). Never touch any materials contained within drawers and jars with <br /> ungloved hands. *Make sure to check packages for any holes or perforations* <br /> 12. Pick up machine with ungloved hand and machine bag with gloved hand. Place machine in bag and <br /> place on clean field. <br /> 13. Pick up clip cord sleeve using your gloved hand and feed the cord through with your ungloved hand. <br /> Wait to puncture contact points through the barrier sleeve until setting up machine. Place covered cord <br /> onto the clean surface making sure no uncover part of the cord touches the clean area. Always touch <br /> the barrier bags with gloved hands and items with ungloved hand. <br /> 14. Using ungloved hand open jar of Vaseline and using gloved hand spread ointment onto dental bib <br /> using tongue depressor making sure not to touch jar to clean surface. Use same method to put out <br /> stencil transfer solution. <br /> 15. Remove glove. <br /> 16. Put on a new pair of gloves. <br /> 17. Open needle pack and place needle onto dental bib. Throw away package. <br /> 18. Open tube pack and place tube onto dental bib.Throw away package. <br /> 19. Inspect needle grouping and bar. <br /> 20. Place needle in tube. <br /> 21. Push needle bar loop through machine bag.Set up machine through bag. Never touch machine with <br /> gloved hands during the set up procedure. <br /> 22. Repeat with other machines if necessary. <br /> 23. Pick up clip cord, puncture contact points through barrier sleeve,attach to machine. Place back onto <br /> dental bib. <br /> 24.Secure ink caps and wash cup to clean surface with ointment. <br /> 25.Take off gloves. <br /> 26. Pour out inks using a paper towel to open and close tops. Be sure to not touch bottles to ink caps. <br /> 27. Fill wash cup with water. <br /> 28. Make any last minute adjustments before beginning tattoo. <br /> 29.Wash/sanitize hands. <br /> -Stencil application may be performed right after step 16 or after step 24. <br />
