INFUSION SMP What to Expect & Aftercare Instructions What to Expect After Your Procedure The healing process varies slightly from person to person. The following is considered normal: • Mild redness immediately following your procedure. •Slight tenderness or sensitivity of the scalp for 24-48 hours. • Mild dryness or tightness during healing. •The scalp may appear darker immediately after treatment and will gradually soften as it heals. • Minimal flaking may occur. Do not pick or scratch the treated area. • It is normal for the pigment to lighten slightly during healing. Aftercare Instructions Days 1-3 • Keep the treated area completely dry. • Do not wash your scalp. •Avoid touching, rubbing, or scratching the area. •Avoid excessive sweating, strenuous exercise, and direct sun exposure. Beginning Day 4 •Wash the scalp gently using the cleanser provided or a gentle fragrance-free cleanser. • Pat dry with a clean towel. •Apply a small amount of the recommended moisturizer. First 7 Days •Avoid swimming pools, hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms, and prolonged sun exposure. •Avoid heavy exercise that causes excessive sweating. • Do not shave with a razor. •Clippers may be used after Day 4. Long-Term Care •Wear sunscreen or a hat during prolonged sun exposure. • Moisturize your scalp regularly. •Avoid harsh exfoliating products. • Maintenance touch-ups may be recommended every few years. Signs of Infection — Seek Medical Attention Seek medical attention immediately if you experience: • Increasing redness that spreads or worsens after the first few days. • Significant swelling that continues to increase. •Thick yellow or green drainage (pus). •A foul odor from the treated area. • Increasing pain,warmth, or tenderness. • Fever or chills. • Red streaks extending away from the treated area. •Any other symptoms that concern you or appear abnormal. Do not attempt to treat a suspected infection yourself. Seek prompt medical attention and notify Infusion SMP.
