Telephone: (209)915-7018 <br /> A.Decontamination and Disinfection: Describe the procedures for decontaminating and <br /> disinfecting of workstation and surfaces. <br /> 1. Workstation surfaces/counter tops: All surfaces that are used or touched by a <br /> practitioner or customer during a tattoo or piercing are sprayed with a cide (cavicide, <br /> opticide,etc.)and allowed to sit for 3-5 minutes before being wiped off,before and after all <br /> tattoos and piercings are performed. The garbage is emptied at least once to twice daily and <br /> the garbage cans are sprayed and cleaned with a cide once a week. The floors of the <br /> workstation are swept and mopped twice daily(once before we open for business and once <br /> after the business is closed). If there is a high volume of foot traffic throughout the day in <br /> the work station, it will be swept and mopped at least once more. The walls in the <br /> workstation are sprayed with a cide and wiped down at least once a week as well. Any <br /> windows near the workstation are sprayed with windex daily and a cide once a week. <br /> 2. Workstation chairs/stools: All workstation chairs and stools are sprayed with a cide <br /> and allowed to soak for 3-5 minutes before being wiped off,before and after all tattoos and <br /> piercings are performed. <br /> 3. Trays: All trays and stools are sprayed with a cide and allowed to soak for 3-5 <br /> minutes before being wiped off,before and after all tattoos and piercings are performed. <br /> 4.Armrests: All armrests are sprayed with a cide and allowed to soak for 3-5 minutes <br /> before being wiped off,before and after all tattoos and piercings are performed. <br /> 5.Headrests:All headrests are sprayed with a cide and allowed to soak for 3-5 minutes <br /> before being wiped off,before and after all tattoos and piercings are performed. <br /> 6. Procedure area: The procedure areas are sprayed down with a cide and allowed to <br /> soak for 3-5 minutes before being wiped off,before and after all tattoos and piercings are <br /> performed. Any hand mirriors used in the procedure area are sprayed with a cide at least <br /> once daily and allowed to soak for 3-5 minutes before being wiped off. <br /> 7.Tables:All tables are sprayed down with a cide and allowed to soak for 3-5 minutes <br /> before being wiped off,before and after all tattoos and piercings are performed. <br />
