I.Disinfection Products: List the disinfectant products used at the body art facility. <br /> Cavacide, Opticide, Madacide, Clorox, Lysol, Green Soap, Alcohol, Cross zyme, <br /> Pine sol, Povidine-Iodine, and Dial soap are the disinfecting products used at this facility. <br /> J.Personal Protective Equipment: List the personal protective equipment used during a <br /> body art procedure. <br /> During a tattoo the following protective equipment is used; Gloves,Aprons,Arm <br /> sleeves, and on certain tattoos, face masks are used. During a body piercing the following <br /> equipment is used; Gloves, facemasks for some piercing. Arm sleeves and aprons are not <br /> needed for a body piercing. <br /> K. Hand Washing Sink: List the locations of the hand wash sinks and describe the items <br /> supplied at each sink. <br /> The hand washing sink is located in the center of the of the lobby and is supplied with <br /> hand soap,paper towels and hand sanitizer. <br /> L.Aftercare Procedure: Describe the written recommendations and care provided to the <br /> client after a body art procedure. <br /> After a client has gotten a new tattoo they are instructed to wash the tattoo with an <br /> antimicrobial/antibacterial soap such as liquid dial at least 3 times a day until the tattoo is <br /> completely healed. In addition to using the soap,the clients are instructed to use some type <br /> of moisturizer on it such as aquaphor,lotion,or h2oceans tattoo aftercare products until the <br /> tattoo is healed. <br /> All tattoo clients are also instructed on things to avoid such as exposure to direct <br /> sunlight, gardening, swimming and contact with anything else that may prolong the <br /> healing time. Clients are also instructed to look out for signs of infection such as dark <br /> discharge, excessive swelling,pain and dark lines going from the newly pierced tattoo or <br /> piercing to the heart and when to seek medical attention. <br /> M.Procedure for an Accidental Spill: Describe the clean-up and disinfection procedure <br /> taken when there is an accidental spill of sharps. <br /> The person that cleans the spill will put on their protective equipment before cleaning <br /> the spill. Once the protective equipment is on,all sharps will be picked up and placed back <br /> into the sharps container. All of the outside surfaces of the container is then sprayed with a <br /> cide and allowed to soak for 3-5 minutes before being placed back on the wall mount. The <br /> area where the sharps spilled is also sprayed with a cide and allowed to soak for 3-5 <br /> minutes before being wiped down and scrubbed with soap and water. After the scrubbing, <br /> all surfaces are sprayed again with a cide and allowed to soak for 3-5 minutes before being <br /> wiped. If the sharps spilled n the floor,the floor is mopped once it has been disinfected. <br />
