Decontamination and Disinfection: The following stations will be cleaned and decontaminated after each use by application of Madacide by spraying the disinfectant directly onto the surface, letting sit for 5 minutes and then wiping down with a disposable paper towel while wearing single use gloves: • Workstation surfaces and countertops • Workstations chairs and stools • Armrests • Headrests • Procedure area • Tables • Tattoo machine and clip cord • Reusable instruments, light fixtures, etc. The practitioner shall maintain a clean and sanitary environment. All solid surfaces and objects in the procedure area and the decontamination and sterilization area that have come into contact with the client or the materials used in performing the body art, including, but not limited to, chairs, armrests, tables, countertops, and trays, shall be immediately decontaminated after each use and then disinfected by application of a disinfectant, used according to manufacturer's directions. The surfaces and objects in the procedure area shall be disinfected again before use if the area has been used for any activity following its previous disinfection. The practitioner shall wear disposable gloves on both hands when touching, decontaminating, or handling a surface, object, instrument, or jewelry that is soiled or that is potentially soiled with human blood. B. Reusable Instruments or Disposable: One Sixteen will use all pre-sterilized, single-use and disposable instruments. All proof of sterility records for pre-sterilized, single-use and disposable instruments will be provided by suppliers and kept on file within One Sixteen Tattoo for 2 years. All lot numbers for single-use needles and disposable tubes will be written on all tattoo consent forms. One Sixteen Tattoo will only purchased disposable, single-use, pre-sterilized instruments.
