EXPOS� �� ���� & l� �� <br /> URE ��v�un ���v��� � ��z��n FOR ^ ^��� FACILITY <br /> Noul <br /> Tattoo <br /> �uypsy <br /> An Exposure Control Plan is defined in the San Joaquin County Body Art Guidelines as a written plan, <br /> applying toall those who perform tattooing,application mfpermanent cosmetics,orbody piercing <br /> within a facility,describing how the applicable requirements of this standard will be implemented. It is <br /> designed to eliminate or minimize employee and client exposure to blood-borne pathogens and other <br /> communicable diseases. <br /> Each body art facility shall have an Exposure Control Plan that contains at least the following elements: <br /> 1. Clients, <br /> 2. Facility Requirements, <br /> 3.Temporary Facility Guidelines(if app|iceb|e), <br /> 4. Housekeeping Standards, <br /> 5.Approved Sterilization Equipment and Monitoring Methods, <br /> 6. Instrument Sterilization and Set-Up, <br /> 7. Contaminated Wastes Procedures, <br /> 8.Tattooing Procedures, <br /> 9. Permanent Cosmetics and Body Piercing Procedures(if app|icab|e). <br /> The owner of any body art facility shall establish a written Exposure Control Plan applying to all those <br /> who perform body art within a facility.This plan shall be specific to the operations of an individual <br /> body art facility.A copy of the plan must be available at all times and during inspections. <br /> The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Services Division requires that all persons <br /> registered with this Division who perform tattooing,application of permanent cosmetics,or body <br /> piercing must receive exposure control training. <br />
