Infection i <br /> Section 5 <br /> Techniques to prevent the contamination of instruments or procedure site during the <br /> performance of body art <br /> Description of barrier film, dental wraps, paper towels, aprons, bibs, plastic wrap, and any other <br /> film used in the facility prior to the performance of body art: Chair switch, light, tray edge, <br /> machine machine handle and mirror are all covered with barrier film. <br /> Description of shaving for procedure site: Single use disposable razor is used. Area is <br /> prepped with alcohol wipe, then lightly shaved. The razor is then disposed of in Sharps <br /> container. <br /> Solutions and transfer agents used to apply stencils: A single use charcoal pencil is used to <br /> create brow stencile and then disposed of in the lined garbage can. A single use disposable <br /> surgical marker is used to leave a stain on the skin and then disposed of in the lined garbage <br /> can. <br /> Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) used during procedures: Disposable apron, disposable <br /> face mask, nitrile examination gloves. <br /> Washing of contaminated PPS's: N/A, all PPE is disposable and meant for one time use only <br />
