Section 117755,and pharmaceutical wastes,as defined in <br /> *Pharmaceutical waste classified by the federal Drug Enforcement Agency(DEA)as Section 117747.The container shall be labeled with the <br /> "controlled substances*are disposed in compliance with DEA requirements. biohazardous waste symbol and the words'HIGH HEAT <br /> ONLY,"'INCINERATION,'or other label approved by the <br /> department on the lid and on the sides,so as to be visible <br /> from any lateral direction. <br /> (b) Storage area description with storage methods utilized for each waste stream including <br /> pharmaceutical waste: <br /> • The facility maintains a secured area for storage of biohazardous waste <br /> pending disposal. <br /> • The storage area is marked with warnings that read in English and Spanish <br /> "Caution biohazardous Waste Storage Area—Unauthorized Persons Keep <br /> Out". <br /> • These signs are legible from a distance of at least 25 feet. <br /> • Biohazardous waste shall not be stored on-site for more than seven days prior <br /> to disposal. <br /> (c) Onsite treatment facility description,including type of treatment utilized <br /> maximum capacity,time and temperature necessary,alternate contingency plan <br /> in case of equipment failure. <br /> • Currently do not conduct onsite treatment of medical waste.
