Yosemite Avenue,Manteca Inspection.-April 1,2002 Dear Ms. Foley: In response to your medical waste inspection on April 1,2002,we have taken the following actions to address the health and safety code violations you documented in your Medical Waste Inspection Report, • HSC Sections 117890 and 117955—On April 8, 2002,Kaiser Permanente Manteca registered as a large quantity generator of medical waste. I have enclosed a copy of the application submitted. • HSC Section 117960—A medical waste management plan was filed with the registration/permit application for medical waste. A copy of the waste management plan is now on file in the Manteca Facility, I have enclosed a copy of the plan for your review. • HSC Section 117975—Medical waste tracking records are on file in the Manteca facility from September 2000 through,April 2002, We are obtaining copies of the tracking sheets from Stericycle for the time period January 1999 through August 2000. Stericycle will provide an approximate date when the tracking sheets will be available on Monday April 15, 2002. We will update you on April 16, 2002,with the date the tracking sheets will be available for your review. HSC Section 118275(g)—The appropriate containers for pharmaceutical waste with correct labeling"1NCMRATION Y" are available when needed.
