If a cart has been soiled through a leaky bag, this <br /> washing and decontamination procedure must be <br /> performed immediately after emptying the cart, <br /> otherwise designated employees on the evening shift <br /> will be responsible for the collection of the utility carts <br /> for washing and decontamination. <br /> 2. All carts will be docked at the trash collection area. <br /> 3. If necessary, provide agitation to remove any visible <br /> soil. Each cart will be then washed for a minimum of <br /> three minutes with a quaternary disinfectant ammonium <br /> solution, Quik Fill Compac A-456-N (400 ppm active <br /> agent), OR by rinsing with hot water(180 degrees <br /> Fahrenheit) for a minimum of 15 seconds. <br /> 4. All carts used will be cleaned and logged daily. Record <br /> keeping of all logs will be provided in the EVS supply <br /> room. <br />
