If a sharp, in a sharp container, has been <br />contaminated through contact with, or having previously contained, chemotherapy agents, <br />then the sharps container shall be segregated for storage and, when placed in a secondary <br />container, that container shall be labeled with the words "Chemotherapy Waste" or "Chemo, <br />INCINERATION ONLY". <br />D. Pharmaceutical -generated waste is managed by the Medical Waste Disposal Vendor and <br />Environmental Services until placed into the locked storage area outside the hospital building.
