00 Page 1 of 1
Benjamin Escotto [EH]
From:
Dennis Gorton [SJGH]
Sent:
Friday, June 03, 2011 10:25 AM
To:
SJGH-MANAGERS
Cc:
Benjamin Escotto [EH]
Subject: Environmental Health Inspection on 5/27/11
Hello Managers,
Our Environmental Health Inspection (inspection of our Medical Waste Management Plan) on 5/27/11 went well
with a few minor issues. Thanks to all who helped make it a success. One of the issues was finding bio -
hazardous waste (gloves, bandages, wrappers) in the large sharps containers. Only sharps belong in the sharps
containers. The other bio -hazardous waste needs to be placed in a red bio -hazardous waste bag. Please inform
and update your employees so that the hospital is in compliance with California Health and Safety Code.
Thanks for your continued help.
6/3/2011
