Types of medical waste generated at Wagner Heights Nursing are as follows: <br />Body fluids, sharps, isolation waste, and wound dressings. <br />2. An estimated monthly amount of medical waste generated at our facility is <br />144lbs. <br />3. Medical waste handling procedures: <br />a. All regulated waste destined for disposal shall be placed in our Red <br />Bio -hazard bags, that are colored and labeled. Also stored in an <br />identified closet until Stericycle comes to haul it away. <br />b. Storage area is a large closet in the west wing of the facility. We only <br />use red bio hazard bags to dispose of the infectious waste which are <br />supplied Stericycle. <br />c. Registered Hazard Waste Hauler: <br />Stericycle Inc. <br />4135 W.
