CHURCH <br /> NODI, CALIF. 95240 <br /> INFECTIOUS WASTES <br /> Procedures for the removal of infectious wastes from the facility <br /> axe as follows: <br /> 1 . All infectious waste material shall be double bagged <br /> in red plastic bags and/or dissolvable bags used <br /> specifically for that purpose® <br /> A, Syringes used on patients with communicable or <br /> infectious diseases shall be rendered unusable <br /> prior to leaving the contaminated area® These <br /> items must then be placed in envelopes and placed <br /> in double red bags for disposal® <br /> B, Each red bag must be securely tied .prior to removal <br /> from the contaminated area® <br /> 2, Double-bagged infectious wastes are then carried, via <br /> the nearest exit, IIEE212Z to the dumpstery placed in- <br /> side and the lid closed® <br /> A, Every precaution will be taken to insure bags are <br /> not broken open, <br /> D® If any carts or containers are used to transport <br /> infectious wastes to the dumpstery they will be <br /> thoroughly cleaned and disinfected at the "CAN <br /> WASH" area prior to return into the building® <br /> C, At no time will infectious wastes be stored in <br /> or around the building® <br /> 3. The dumpster will be emptied at least two times weeklyp <br /> and the contents taken by "Sanitary City Disposal <br /> Company, Inc. " to a sanitary land fill® <br /> A, The dumpster shall be thoroughly hosed and cleaned <br /> each time it is emptied® <br />
