d, Clean, folded linens are placed on the linen <br /> cart and delivered to the "Linen" rooms daily® <br /> This room is ventilated and must be kept clean, <br /> orderly and dust free at all times® Twinens al- <br /> ready in storage will be moved to the front and <br /> those most recently delivered placed behind them <br /> in order to insure proper rotation of linens® <br /> No other items shall be placed or stored in <br /> "Linen" rooms® <br /> e, Any shreddedp torn, stained or otherwise unusable <br /> or unsightly linen will be promptly discarded <br /> and replaced® Shortages of any items should be <br /> brought to the Administrator's attention immediately. <br /> C. Equipment: <br /> 1 ® The laundry areas, washing machine, dryers, folding <br /> table, carts and other items used in the laundry <br /> must be kept clean and free of lint .at all times® <br /> 2® Dryer filters must be cleaned daily® <br /> 3. Exhaust vent shall be cleaned weekly® <br /> 4® Areas behind dryers and washing machines shall be <br /> cleaned weekly, <br /> 5® Soap buildup, etc, must not be allowed to accumu- <br /> late on or around the washing machine® <br /> 6. Floors will be mopped deily and any spills or wet <br /> spots wiped up "immediately". <br /> 7. Walls, ceilings and fixtures are wiped clean monthly® <br /> 8® Report all malfunctions or unusual sights, sounds <br /> or smells to the maintenance person® Do not con- <br /> tinue to use equipment® <br /> D. Personnel: <br /> 1 . Laundry workers must wash their hands after handling <br /> soiled linens and prior to handling clean lines® <br /> Gloves are provided any may be used in handling <br /> soiled linens® <br /> 2® Clean, pressed attire is essential® Laundry worker <br /> will be delivering clothes and linens to patient <br /> areas and should be appropriately dressed. <br /> 3, Hair should not be worn loosely; no jewelry is per- <br /> mitted. <br />
