Biohazard bag is not placed in a rigid container that is leak resistant, tightly fit lid, clean, in good repair and appropriately labeled <br />- Biohazardous waste shall be bagged and placed in a rigid container which is leak resistant, have tight -fitting cover, and be kept <br />clean and in good repair. Container shall be labeled with the words "Biohazardous Waste" or "BIOHAZARD" on the lid and on the <br />sides so as to be visible from any lateral direction. HSC 118280(c) – The biohazard waste containers located in the outside <br />storage area were not lined. Line the containers with biohazard bags, provide photographic evidence to the EHD. <br />30. The designated accumulation area is not secured or marked with proper signage. <br />- A designated accumulation area shall be secured by use of locks on entry doors, gates, or receptacle lids and marked with <br />warning sign, "CAUTION—BIOHAZARDOUS WASTE STORAGE AREA—UNAUTHORIZED PERSONS KEEP OUT', in English <br />and in another language determined to be appropriate by the infectious control staff or LEA. HSC118310 — The verbiage on the <br />warning signs of the outside storage area did not meet the requirements of the Medical Waste Management Act. Provide <br />the proper signage and submit photographic evidence to the EHD. <br />NOTES <br />Submit all corrections to the EHD by March 30, 2020. <br />1. Stericycle is the medical waste hauler. Biohazardous waste is picked up every 7 days. <br />2. Tracking records were available for review. <br />3.
