1. Federal OSHA Standards apply in California <br /> L. Transporting/Tracking Between Red Cross Sites <br /> 1. A large quantity medical waste generator required to register pursuant to this <br /> chapter shall maintain for a minimum of two years individual treatment <br /> records and the tracking document for all untreated medical waste shipped <br /> offsite for treatment. The generator shall report or submit to the enforcement <br /> agency, upon request, all of the following: <br /> 2. Treatment operating records. Operating records shall be maintained in written <br /> or electronic form. <br /> 3. An emergency action plan in accordance with regulations adopted by the <br /> department. <br /> 4. Tracking documents or electronically archived tracking documents maintained <br /> by the facility or medical waste hauler of all untreated medical wastes shipped <br /> offsite for treatment. <br /> 5. Documentation shall be made available to the enforcement agency onsite as <br /> soon as feasible, but no more than two business days following the request. <br /> 6. California HSC Section 117976(a) limits the allowable amount of medical <br /> waste to be transported via MOT to 35.2 pounds. <br /> M. Comply with all requirements of this program and training. <br /> 2. Comply with Exposure Control Plan specifically universal precautions and <br /> personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements. <br /> B. Management Staff <br /> 1. Ensure that adequate resources are available to successfully <br /> perform and comply with this program. <br /> 2.
