After further
conversations with the local CCPOA folks, they would like the label of the razor bucket to read "Used Disposable
Razors Only." DVI is fine with that label. Based on our conversation last week, you said if both CCPOA and DVI
were OK with the change, you saw no reason to prevent us from entering into a local agreement/addendum to
change the language of the settlement agreement.
In your mind is the updated language still acceptable? Let me know. Thanks. She is the contact for the "Settlement Agreement -
Handling of Disposable Razors" issue dated May 18, 2005. Barbara said that DVI could enter into a local
agreement/addendum with CCPOA to change the labeling on the containers from "SHARPS
WASTE/DISPOSABLE RAZORS" to "WASTE/DISPOSABLE RAZORS" (i.e. deleting the word "sharps") to
prevent medical staff (registry) from inadvertently dropping sharps into these containers.
Let Bob Cox know this and ask him to work with CCPOA for their consent. If you have any questions, please let
me know. Thanks.
