At the Conclusion of Each Seeviae Call, Medical Waste Conteactor Shall: 1. Remove all medical wastes according to the scheduled timeframe specified under "Transportation of Medical Waste to Disposal Area". ? Clean and disinfect each storage bias, locker and/or area, as needed, maintain designated medical waste sites free of medical waste spills and any debris related to the pickup of medical waste. 3. inspect all designated medical waste containers to ensure compliance with Health Care Services Division, Chapter 9, commencing with Section 118275. The institution will conduct periodic inspection of the storage bins and lockers and its immediate area. Contractor shall immedjately correct all unsanitary conditions or deficieTcies as noted by institution inspections. I 4. Provide a completed medical waste tracking document at the time of each pick-up, pursuant to HSC, Chapter 6, Section 118040. The document shall be properly executed, signed and dated by the' Supervising Registered. Nurse II ar designee and the waste hauler at each of the institution locations. Only the Supervising Registered Nurse II or Correctional Health Services Administrator I or designee shall review and sign the original manifest, (for billing authorization) prior to shipment of medical waste. P. 09 Within fifteen (I5) calendar days after medical waste pick up, a copy of the manifest with the disposal site information section completed shall be furnished to Cynthia lFedrick, Correctional Health Services Administrator 1, ' or designee_ Invoices will be processed upon receipt by the Correctional Health Services Administrator I or designee to include, a copy of the treatment, storage and disposal (TSD) facility manifest, establishing acceptance of the waste at the disposal site, and the Certificate of Disposal from the ultimate disposal facility. Contractor shall provide an official scale, approved by the State Departg ent of Food and Agriculture Measurement Standards Division, to weigh medical waste. Contractor is responsible for weighing all medical waste at the institution prior to transport. Contractor shall report the total pounds picked up to the institution liaison prior to transport. H.
